- The Navel Warfare. I was extremely excited when I first brought my ship out too see as I had no idea there was going to be any Navel warfare. However it surprised me because I think that the way Assassins Creed is trying to build these new features into their games has been going downhill. An example is the "Assassin Defence Missions" on Assassins Creed Revelations. I didn't really like them because it was too hard and I think it got in the way of the game however I think the the Naval Missions on AC3 do not. You command one ship how often have allies you can either be escorting the ship, you can be assaulting fleets or you can be defending an allied ship. The main nation has some naval missions however I think the bulk of naval warfare lights in the side and optional missions.
- The Setting. I like the setting because you get snow in Assassins Creed III which is based in North America, New York and Boston not to forget the frontier. In the old Assassins Creed games all you got was a lot of sun. In Italy the Middle East and Turkey all you got was sun.
Things I do not like:
- The fog and Graphics. Although snow makes the game nicer to look at. I think when you're on a synchronisation point looking over Boston and New York harbour, their is a lot (and I mean a lot) of fog.
- The Controls and no new weapons. The controls have become a lot more harder especially combat area for AC3. Now to block you have to press circle but also to counter you have to press circle. So you cannot be safe behind your blocking at the same time as countering. Also I feel there was a lack of new weapons in this new game. I cannot really think of any new weapons at all. Not to mention that the stores have been 'downgraded' - they now only sell very little! Considering the potential this game had to include cannons, muskets (good muskets not the ones you get in the game!), grenades etc... their was very little added.
So, overall I advise you to get this game as it has a amazing new Navel warfare system and a lovely setting. Despite graphical drawbacks and the controls being slightly harder - you can't go wrong. The story was decent.
