Is the new Ipod touch worth it + why have i not posted for so long?

I'm sure most of you are wondering why I haven't been active for a while, and it's because I forgot my password. Yes, I know, it sounds pathetic but it is true.

So about this new Ipod touch 5g/6g (depending on whether you count the white 4g as a 5g...).


The most exciting feature for me personally is the new design/display. A new 4-inch display and a better backing to the old one, no ore scratches, makes the new Ipod look vastly better. It weighs slightly less than the old model, its bigger screen allows it to play video without any black bars and have 6 rows of icons instead of 5! It also has 'the loop' which is a strap - handy if you loose grip. It also comes in different colours like the Nano.

The new earphones have been updated across the board for Iphone & Ipod and I must say they sound and feel much better in your ears. Much more bass.

The camera has been updated which isn't to excited for me as I have a seperate pro camera but it looks good at 5mp and 1080p video. Similar to the old Iphone 4 camera. It also has panorama mode and I think the front camera isn't VGA any more.

The Dual core a5 chip has been added which makes everything quicker and smoother. Oh yes - and siri has been added!

Everything sounds great for this new Ipod can't wait to buy my own.

Personal Update!

Hi viewers, I'm currently planning a family holiday on a 12 day Cruise of the Med - it's coming to the end of term now so we must organise it.

I also have 4 holidays this year. I went to Scotland in Easter (I live in Liverpool). I;m going on this Cruise 2 weeks from now, then in August another 10 day trip to Austria with my Scout group and then a 10 day Cruise of the Baltic in October.

I'm coming up to 100 views so keep sharing, following and viewing!

Macbook Air IPhoto Problem

I have encountered a problem with IPhoto 11 on my newly bought Macbook Air. Whenever I transfer my photos & videos to Iphoto it has started to say 'Not enough space on volume drive' or something like that! Any resolutions people comment & share follow my blog!

I decided to take the take the risk and buy a 13inch Macbook Air direct from Apple for £860 new. I got it cheaper because I got education discount. But wow these machines are AMAZING. I love the multi-touch, fast SSD and general snappiness of the machine.

I would persuade anyone who is looking for a fast, portable, small laptop to look into the Macbook Air. I use it for making Music,Editing/Managing my Photos and making beautiful Movies of family holiday etc.. It also does the basic stuff well like Web + Email.

Top New Film

The Dictator!

This film is AMAZING I saw it at a private cinema which gets films early. But it was worth the cost. It's the story of a dictator who rapes women for no reason, takes away basic human rights and kills anyone who opposes him. He fight to make sure democracy never comes to his African nation. However the UN demands that he comes to New York to answer questions about his nuclear program. He eventually gets stripped of his identity so people cannot recognise him. He then must survive in New York and the culture shock shows a lot in the film! When he is hitching a lift on a bike by a women he places his hands on her boobs and says 'your a women'! It is truly hilarious. See/get this film ASAP!

Tropico 4

I rule Tropico 4 with an iron fist. Everybody gets paid $1 per hour except for Police and military. This makes them able to pay for housing and healthcare. People who are unemployed are imprisoned and forced to work for free. Very efficient society. We pay very little to people and save a lot of money. None of the $1 workers have access to healthcare which saves us money we do not supply religion. So, what are your thoughts on this type of regime do you think a  nicer regime would be more efficient?

The new Ipad

Before I begin I would like to remind my readers that this is my opinion only, feel free to post your opinions in the comments!

The number one thing I think makes an Ipad, or any tablet unique, is its portability. And, with this new Ipad they seem to have made it less portable my increasing the weight. Now, I understand the screen is better and it has 4G which I honestly do not care about because I will be getting the Wi-Fi model and not to mention that 4G is not available in the UK! And come on out of all the things they could of improved they improved the camera! Who wants to be taking picutres with a 10 inch tablet.

This makes the new Ipad much worse in my opinion and much less mobile. Please remember to comment your opinion and follow my blog.

Changed blog!

Many of you have notice that my title has changed from The Games Centre to The Games and Tech Centre. This is because I want to post more frequently and the more things I can post about the easier that is and the better the blog it is! Some of my post will now be about tech.

Arma 2:Free Team killing!

I must be honestand admin that I teamkill on Arma 2 a lot but here are a few ways to stop getting noticed or kicked!

Ram- this means driving a vehicle into another, or crashing a jet into another etc... this is good because it will not show up saying '(friendly fire)' by your name it will just say you were killed. Unless somebody saw you do it you will get away with it probably. And even if somebody else sees you, you can always just denie it and say he rammed into you or something. The admin will not know who did it and will most likely ignore it as a joke!

Being a gunner on a aircraft- If you shoot somebody as a gunner or even just shoot it will show up as the pilot friendly fired not you! You can always deny it saying he has put on manual fire or something!

Do not reply back on messaging unless you have a very good excuse or comeback- If you ignore the people on message saying stuff it will not drag on and maybe the admin won't even see the team kill message!

And remember always keep a low profile & take advantage of the admin being offline!

Now for something a little different!

Have you ever wanted a powerful gaming machine? But you thought they cost to much when you could just get PS3 for £220! Think again!!

Yes, when I bought the parts for my new gaming PC I was surprised to find out that building a powerful gaming PC could cost as little as £300! I spent a little more and went up to £500 to get extra HDD and a more powerful graphics card.

I understand that a PS3 only cost about £250 to buy however a PC is much more efficient because you can also browse the web, play music & videos, type up documents etc... Although yo can do a lot of these things on a PS3 it's simply not easy enough and it takes ages to load anything! PCs usually have better graphics & faster processors which make using a PC more fun than a console. Not to mention the vastly supieror gaming platforms available to consoles.

I understand how some of you may disagree with me because you can have more players on a PS3 or any other reasons so remember to comment down bellow if you have anything to add or contradict my post!

And remember, do not buy of steam as they charge ridiculous prices! However check out their special offers, once I got Civ 5 for just £7.49!

First thoughts on Mass Effect 3:

After not even knowing about Mass Effect 1 or 2 I was pleasantly surprised that I have missed out on such a good series. So I decided to get Mass Effect 3- and boy does it deliver!

 It's Campaign must of took me ages to complete! And the Graphics were truly amazing the story was gripping and I always wanted to play on. I ended up playing a massive 4/5 hour per day! It's combat interface is pretty good however I didn't like the power feature, which I often forgot about or couldn't be bothered to use! I would also say that it takes to much time to get about the Citadel and Normandy but I was OK with it because they were both designed immaculately. My Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai Campaign!

The year is 1865 and the Saga clan and its allies have took control of southern Japan. With help from the 3 foreign powers (Britain,France and the US) the imperial forces have modernised their armies and industrialised their economies. As the first to trade with the westerners the Saga clan has modernised much more than the rest of the imperial forces. They now have trade with ALL three foreign powers enabling them to recruit Royal Marines, US Marines and the elite French Marines (which I have forgot the name of!). They also have Gatling guns & Armstrong enabling them to bombard the enemy with powerful shells (from the Armstrong guns) and mow down the enemy with machine guns (Gatling Guns). However this modernization has caused Samurai rebellions in the cites of Karatsu and Mine. But they were no match for the imperial forces. The future is unknown and many battles are to be fought but the Saga clan will push north and right onto the Shoguns doorstep in time!

Yes, as you might of guessed that was about my Fall of the Samurai campaign which I started to play a few weeks ago. I am about to push forwards into Kyoto with the help of my Allies. All out war is about to be declared between Shogunate and Imperial forces which could go either way however with my Modern army and navy (Ironclads!!)  I think I should be able to defeat the enemy. I am currently concentrating on converting my population to support the emperor and developing my economy and civil tech. I really think you should get this game as you do not need to have the original Shogun 2 to play it. I am really enjoying this campaign I'm doing and remember to follow my blog & share!

Upcoming release of Arma 3

I had the chance to play a version of Arma 3 yesterday! My friend who works on the design team managed to get me a copy and I can tell you guys you have something to look forward to. First of all the Graphics are amazing. There is so much detail and the towns and villages are all different! It feels like they have designed every single bit of the map with care and then crammed as much of the latest tech they could get to make it look good. And it works, so well! It is based in the near future (I think 2025) and it has a lot of new vehicles not to mention that you can also customize your weapons much more. I think you will be very excited about this release and I urge you to buy it once it comes out. I didn't get a chance to play the campaign however it looks like something between NATO and 'the east'. I'm so looking forward to the full version!
